You can edit your profile in the cause portal at any time. We recommend keeping it complete and up to date to increase your exposure to potential donors. Inform your donors about the work you do and where they can learn more about your organization.
The person managing your cause profile can edit your profile at any time by following these steps:
- Log in to the Causes Portal.
- Click on Cause Profile on the left-hand side menu.
- Select Edit Cause Profile.
- Update your organization’s details, scroll down, and click Save.
Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for edits in the Causes Portal to appear.
The following fields can be updated on your profile:
Search Alias - If your organization is known by multiple names, abbreviations, or if you have a ‘doing business as’ name, these can be added to help ensure your profile appears in your donor’s search results.
Tags - This includes common terms or keywords that relate to your organization’s work, such as “shelter,” “food bank,” “education,” or “disaster relief.” This can help your organization reach more donors.
Logo – Logos are a quick way for your donors to identify your cause profile. Learn more about how to troubleshoot if your logo does not fit.
Mission Statement – This is the place to share a high-level summary of what your organization does and the value that your work brings to your community.
Charity Description – Expanding on your mission statement, this section can be used to provide a detailed description of your organization’s objectives, who you support, what communities you operate in, and so on. This tells your donors what initiatives you may use their donations towards.
Online Presence – Share your website, Twitter Username, and Facebook Page.
