What is Microsoft Rewards and Give with Bing?
Microsoft Rewards is an integration with Benevity that allows Bing users to convert reward points into donation currency to be donated towards a cause of their choice that is sourced from Benevity’s global database of nonprofits.
The Microsoft Rewards program is available in multiple countries for users with a Bing account. Microsoft also has a secondary program called Give with Bing which allows users located in the US to make donations with their credit card or PayPal account.
How are Give with Bing donations disbursed?
These donations are aggregated together along with any other donations made to a cause and will be disbursed in accordance with Benevity’s monthly disbursement cycle, using the approved payment method on the cause profile.
Microsoft Rewards donations will be sent through The UK Online Giving Foundation. Give With Bing donations will be sent through the American Online Giving Foundation, Inc. Learn more about our foundation partners.
How to identify a Give with Bing donation?
If a donation has been made but is not yet disbursed, these funds will appear in the My Donation Activity graph on the Dashboard tab of a cause profile. Learn more about monitoring incoming donations on the Donation Activity Tracker.
After the disbursement has been sent, the corresponding report will be uploaded to the cause profile. Rewards donations have “Microsoft Rewards/Give with Bing” listed as the client, whereas Give with Bing (donor funds) donations have “Microsoft Rewards/Online” listed as the client.
