Why are my donations in Current status for so long?

In the Causes Portal, some donations may retain the Current status longer than usual compared to the standard disbursement timeline for that programme. This means they may not yet be included in the next disbursement cycle, or processing may still be underway.

A delayed disbursement could be the result of a client's programme or disbursement model. For example, some clients may disburse on a different cadence, or they may require additional reviews before a donation or match is approved. As this information is confidential to the client, you can use the forecasting dashboard to monitor incoming donations and track when they move to In Progress status, which indicates the disbursement is being prepared.

For EFT payments, donations may stay in Current until combined funds meet the foundation's electronic minimum (often $5 or the same value in local currency, sometimes higher for cross-border routes).
