How do I deactivate my account or profile?

To deactivate your organization's profile, a representative must submit a request to our Cause Support team with a PDF authorization on your organization's letterhead.

Deactivation takes 1–2 business days after we receive your request and document. Once deactivated, your organization will be removed from search results on Benevity, preventing clients and donors from finding it.

Note: Deactivation does not remove your account from the Benevity Causes Portal—you can still access donation history and disbursement reports.

To reactivate your profile, please submit a request to our Cause Support team.
