Within their workplace giving accounts, donors will select their preferred privacy setting which determines how much of their personal information is shared within their donation. This can include their first and last name, email address, city, state/province, or postal code.
If any of these fields state ‘Not shared by donor,’ the donor has requested to keep that information confidential.
In addition to the donor’s information, their company’s name will also be included in the report, noted under the Company column. Some clients (the Company) may request to be anonymous and will choose an alternate name to have reflected in a causes report (ex., A1234). In these instances, the client’s name is considered to be confidential and cannot be shared with a cause.
