You submit grant applications through the link or portal provided by the granting organization (the company or foundation running the grant program). Grant application forms are separate from the Benevity Causes Portal. Open the application using the instructions or link shared by the grantor, then complete the form on their site or on a Benevity-hosted form if the grantor uses one.
You do not start a grant application from your Causes Portal home page. Look for the application link in the grant program invitation, email, or program page the grantor shared with your organization.
What login do I use?
Many grantors use their own application portal. In that case, create an account on the grantor's site. Your Benevity Causes Portal login does not work on external grant application portals.
If the granting organization uses a Benevity-hosted application form instead of a separate portal, you do not need to log in. Your progress is saved in your browser's local storage while you complete the form.
How do I track my submitted applications?
After you submit an application, track the status of your grant applications across Benevity clients' granting programs in the grant application management dashboard within the Benevity Causes Portal. The portal account may be registered and managed by a different person in your organization than the person who submitted the application.
If you don't yet have an account, register your nonprofit in the Benevity Causes Portal.
What if something goes wrong when I apply?
If a grant form will not open or submit, review common grant application troubleshooting steps. If you cannot find your organization in the form, try searching by Tax ID or Unique ID.
