What are Microsoft Rewards?
Microsoft Rewards is an integration with Benevity that allows Microsoft Bing users to convert reward points into donation currency to be donated towards a nonprofit of their choice, sourced from the Benevity global nonprofit network.
It starts when individuals sign up for Microsoft Rewards, Microsoft's loyalty program. After joining, points earned for Bing searches will be automatically donated to their selected cause. Give with Bing is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
How are Rewards donations disbursed?
These donations are aggregated together along with any other donations made to a nonprofit and disbursed by Benevity in accordance with the disbursement cycle, using the approved payment method on the nonprofit profile.
Microsoft Rewards donations are sent through The UK Online Giving Foundation. Learn more about the foundations Benevity works with.
How do I identify a Rewards donation?
If a donation has been made but not yet disbursed, you can track incoming funds using the forecasting dashboard in the Causes Portal.
After the disbursement has been sent, the corresponding report is uploaded to the nonprofit profile. Rewards donations have “Microsoft Rewards/Give with Bing” listed as the client. Learn more about disbursement reports.
