To check if your organization is registered with Benevity, register for an account and search for your organization in the Benevity Causes Portal.
Follow these steps to register and search:
- Go to the Benevity Causes Portal.
- Select Register Now.
- Create your user account with your name, email address, and password.
- Select the country where your organization is legally registered.
- Select Start Now.
- Search for your organization by name or government ID.
- Select Search.
If your organization appears in the results, it is already in Benevity's records. If the result says This organization has already been registered, another user currently manages the profile.
The message includes part of the current account owner's email address. Use this information to decide whether to contact the owner or request ownership of the profile.
Getting access to a registered profile
-
If you know the current account owner, ask them to add you as a subuser and assign permissions.
If you have already created an account using the email address you want to use for your subuser account, you or the primary account owner must contact Support first to remove the existing account.
Do not share login credentials. Sharing credentials violates the Causes Terms of Use.
- If you don't know the current owner, or if they no longer work with your organization, you can request ownership of the profile by selecting Apply to Register. For steps, read How do I change the owner of my organization's Benevity profile?
Registering an unregistered organization
If your organization hasn't been registered, the profile includes a Register button. Select Register and complete the registration steps.
