How do I renew my expired Self-Certification Declaration?

To renew, complete a new Self-Certification Declaration in the Benevity Causes Portal.

Your declaration is valid for one year from the date you complete it. Renewing every year keeps you eligible for many client workplace giving programs.

Submitting a new declaration

  1. Log in to the Benevity Causes Portal.
  2. Select Certification in the left-hand menu.
  3. Select Create New Self-Certification Declaration.
  4. Answer the 13 declarations. Learn more about the declaration questions.
  5. Enter your name and phone number, then add a name and email address for an alternative contact.
  6. Select Submit.

Your renewed declaration is valid for one year from the day you submit it. Renewing before your current declaration expires means you lose the time left on it.

What if the previous account owner has left my organization?

Only the primary account owner or a subuser with declaration permissions can renew. The account owner assigns these permissions when they add or edit a subuser.

If the person who managed your account has left, you can change the owner of your profile first.
