Your organization is not removed from the Benevity platform. What pauses are donations that would go through The UK Online Giving Foundation (UKOGF).
Without a current declaration, UKOGF cannot disburse to your organization. The platform recognizes this automatically. Donors can still find you in search, open your profile, share it, nominate you, and record volunteer time with you.
This is not permanent. Complete or update the declaration by going to Declaration in the main menu. Once your submission is received and processed, eligibility for donations through UKOGF is restored. Nothing further is needed from you, and no one at Benevity needs to switch anything back on.
If your organization can also receive funds locally
Many organizations receive donations from UKOGF and other foundations Benevity works with. If yours is one of them, an outstanding UKOGF declaration affects only donations that would go through UKOGF.
Donors in your country can still donate through your local foundation. Disbursements through these foundations continue on their normal cycle. Companies can still include your organization in a giving opportunity for those local donations.
If UKOGF is the only way funds can reach you, completing the declaration is the only way to reopen donations. Until then, the Donate option does not appear for donors, and companies cannot add your organization to a new giving opportunity. Volunteering opportunities are not affected.
Donations already directed to your organization
Donations made before your declaration was outstanding are not lost. The charitable foundations, not Benevity, are the legal owners of the donations. They decide whether, in what amount, and when to disburse, considering donor advice.
While the UK path is paused, no UKOGF disbursement is generated until your declaration is current again. After that, and if enough donations have been made, disbursements can occur in a following disbursement cycle.
What if I missed the deadline or cannot declare?
Missing the deadline does not remove your organization from the platform. Return to the form, complete or update your answers, and submit. There is no separate reinstatement request.
If your organization cannot confirm that UKOGF funds will be used for charitable purposes under UK law, submit that response on the form. You can update your answers later if your situation changes.
